The Eucaliptus Forest
When mother came here
beautiful and young
then Dad built her a house on a hill.
The springs passed
half a century passed
and in the meantime the curls(of hair) turned grey.
But on the shore of Jordan
Nothing great happened
The same silence
the same place
The eucaliptus forest
the bridge and the boat
and the salty smell above the water

Here it comes down the trail,
the group of babies
They are in Jordan paddling with their legs.
The babies have grown up
they've already learnt to crawl
and the youths
are strolling in pairs

Евкалиптова гора
Когато майка ми дошла тук
- красива и млада,
баща ми й построил къща на хълма…
Пролетта отлетяла…
Отминал и половин век…
А косите бавно побелели…
Но по бреговете на река Йордан
всичко си е по старому…
Същата тишина и природа…
И само малката евкалиптова горичка,
мостчето и лодката
със соления аромат на водата ни остават…
По пътеката вървят деца…
Влизат в реката и се гонят…
Децата се научиха да плуват
и вече порастнаха…
И сега вървят влюбени ръка за ръка…
Но по брега на Йордан всичко отново е все същото
Същата тишина и природа.
